San Benito County storm notifications

San Benito Residents as we head into the next few days of stormy weather, we wanted to advise you where you can go to receive updates and information on the storm. The San Benito County will be sending notifications on the storm on the following social media platforms:

You can also sign up for Code Red alerts which are Reverse 9-1-1 notifications. The Santa Cruz Regional 9-1-1 uses the CodeRED community notification system to send important messages to residents, businesses, and visitors within Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties in the event of emergency situations or critical community alerts. https://www.scr911.org/.../sign-reverse-9-1-1 You may also sign up by texting SCR911 to 99411 to enroll.
Lastly the San Benito Sheriff’s Department along with the Office of Emergency Services will be sending any emergency notifications through Nixle. These notifications will include but do not limit to:
  • Flood Alerts
  • Evacuation Warnings
  • Road Closures
  • Power Outages
