Melcanyon Road Now Open to Through Traffic; Fish Fire Area Will Move to Green Alert Level at 6 PM Tonight
Melcanyon Road is fully open to through traffic.
The City of Duarte will move the Fish Fire Impact Area to a Green Alert Level at 6 PM tonight, January 10, 2023. At that time, parking restrictions for the 25 homes on Melcanyon Road from Brookridge Road to Fish Canyon Road will be lifted. L.A. County Public Works is scheduled to lift the Phase 2 mudflow alert for the Fish Fire Impact Area at 8 PM tonight.
Duarte experienced some impact in the Fish Fire Area of dirt and debris on Melcanyon Road and behind the k-rails at the top of Melcanyon Road. City staff are working with contractors on clean-up efforts.
The National Weather Service is predicting more storm activity for this weekend. L.A. County Public Works and Duarte Public Safety staff will continue to assess weather conditions and update residents as needed.
