INCIDENT: 2023-1216 Structure Fire

DETAILS:  On January 10, 2023 at 10:16 pm Patrol Units were dispatched by the Communications Center to a residence in Colonial Park on a report of an active structure fire at the residence.  As Ptl. Siani arrived he observed smoke exiting the vents on the second floor of the structure and met with the resident who confirmed that all parties had evacuated the premisis.  Station 43, 44 and WWDFES began battling the blaze.  Shortly afterward, East Windsor Fire Co. 42, Princeton Fire Department 60, and East Windsor Volunteer Rescue Squad 1 arrived on scene.  The fire was put down within approximately 15 minutes from Dispatch Time by Station 43, 44, and WWDFES.  

Sgt. W. Jones, Det. Jany, and WW Twp. Fire Investigator conducted the initial investigation that determined the fire was not suspicious in nature and was considered to be accidental.  No injuries were reported to the residents or any of the First Responders at the scene.  The West Windsor Township Building Inspector Wagner deemed the structure unsafe.  Alternate temporary living arrangements were made by the resident.
