SEARCH CONTINUES INTO THE EVENING FOR MISSING CYRIL GIRL 
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CYRIL, Okla. (January 11, 2023) - The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) continues the search for a missing 4-year-old Cyril girl. Cyril police were notified that Athena Brownfield was missing after her five-year-old sister was found by a postal carrier yesterday at 2 p.m.
Today at 4 p.m., the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Emergency Reponse Team (ERT) concluded a grid search with local volunteers. Those volunteers have been released after searching the entire town, every known vacant house and local waterways.
Currently, the Oklahoma Department of Corrections (ODOC) has search dogs in the area and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (OBNDD) flew their drones over the community.
Law enforcement continues conducting inverviews and reviewing surviellance videos in an effort to locate Athena.
The entire law enfocement community assisting with locating Athena appreciates local volunteers, restaurants, churches and all the tips that have been phoned in.
