Train vs. Vehicle Collision - Rawsonville south of Bemis **ROAD IS NOW OPEN** 
The road is now open for vehicular traffic. We're sorry to report that the crash took the life of the driver and lone occupant, an 89-year-old Sumpter Township man. The investigation is being handled by the Railroad Police, the Washtenaw County Sheriff's Department, and the Michigan State Police.

Sumpter Township Public Safety is on the scene of a train vs. vehicle collision on Rawsonville south of Bemis. The investigation is ongoing with other area law enforcement partners. An alternate route will be required for an unknown period as the investigation continues.
