Theft Suspect's Arrested 
On January 11, 2023 at 4:15 PM, two suspects stole a large amount of over the counter medication, hair, and cosmetic products from Rite Aid at E. Los Angeles Ave. and First St. Officers located the suspects’ vehicle on Kuehner Dr. just before entering the 118 Freeway and detained them. Officers recovered approximately $3500.00 worth of merchandise from three different stores. Along with the Simi Valley Rite Aid, investigating Officers discovered merchandise from two stores in Thousand Oaks. SVPD arrested 19 year olds, Los Angeles residents, Dejohnne Smith and Ruby Bowie for the following charges, 490.4(a)(1) PC Organized Retail Theft, 487(a) PC Grand Theft, and 182(a)(1) PC Conspiracy.
They were both booked at Ventura County Main Jail.
