SUMMARY: On Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 12:41 a.m., deputies responded to Chaparosa Roofing in Apple Valley for a burglary in progress.
When deputies arrived, John Byrne was exiting a 2008 white Ford truck with a Texas license plate. After conducting a check on the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN), deputies learned the license plate did not belong to the truck. The truck was confirmed stolen out of Barstow in December 2022.
