Narrative: | |||||
The Camarillo Police Department Community Resources Unit is proud to partner with Café Ficelle to host another Coffee with a Cop event. Coffee with a Cop will be held on Wednesday, January 18th. Staff from the Camarillo Police Department will be at Café Ficelle from 8:00 am to 11:00 am in Old Town Camarillo to meet with residents. A simple cup of coffee is a great way to start conversations with your local deputies and people in our community. January is National Human Trafficking awareness month. The Ventura County Human Trafficking Task Force (VCHTTF) is comprised of two full time Sheriff’s Detectives supported by representative detectives from each law enforcement agency in Ventura County, the District Attorney’s Office and several victim service providers. The VCHTTF investigates both labor and sex trafficking occurring in Ventura County. Members of the VCHTTF will be present and available to share awareness information to local residents. Victims can be rescued and connected to services by calling 211 or local law enforcement. The Camarillo Police Department is excited to continue with these amazing public events. Please join us for a great time. Building relationships, one cup at a time. |
