Wilmington Police arrest man on drug charges following investigation: 
Wilmington Police have arrested a man on drug charges following an investigation.
On January 11 at approximately 3:23 p.m., members of the Drug, Organized Crime, and Vice Division executed a search warrant in the unit block of West 41st Street following a drug investigation. Police took 42-year-old Vernett Shaw into custody without incident. Police recovered 9.9 grams of cocaine, 13 Oxycodone pills, 2 MDMA pills, and drug paraphernalia.
Shaw was charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity (2 counts)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance (2 counts)
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
