INCIDENT: Wanted Felon in Possession of a Loaded Firearm
LOCATION: Twentynine Palms Highway and Neptune Drive, Joshua Tree
SUSPECT(S): Jesse Palacios, 27-year-old male resident of Yucca Valley
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Thursday, January 12, 2023, at approximately 4:20 p.m., deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station responded to a domestic disturbance in the area of Park Avenue and Twentynine Palms Highway in Joshua Tree. During their investigation, deputies contacted Jesse Palacios, who was found to be on felony probation and had an active no-bail warrant for his arrest. Additionally, deputies found Palacios to be in possession of a loaded firearm.
Palacios was arrested and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail for violation of Penal Code 29800(A)(1) - Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Penal Code 25850(c)(1) - Felon in Possession of a Loaded Firearm.
