...WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 11 AM MST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 12 to 16 inches. Locally higher amounts nearing 2 feet of snow possible.
* WHERE...Southwest San Juan Mountains.
* WHEN...From 2 PM this afternoon to 11 AM MST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. A detailed map of the
snowfall can be found at: www.weather.gov/gjt/winter.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Expect lulls in snowfall through the
warning period.
*AVALANCHE DANGER WILL INCREASE...A nixle will be sent out if an AVALANCHE WARNING IS ISSUED
