* WHAT...Snow and Ice. Total snow accumulations mainly 2 to 5 inches and total ice accumulations of one tenth to one quarter of an inch. Winds will average 15 to 25 MPH with highest gusts of 30 to 35 MPH, initially out of the northeast but then turning northwesterly Wednesday night.
* WHERE...Portions of east central and south central Nebraska.
* WHEN...From midnight tonight to midnight CST Wednesday night.
* IMPACTS...Combination of snow and ice will create very dangerous travel conditions. Blowing snow and occasionally heavy snow rates could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will develop in time to impact the Wednesday morning commute and continue through the Wednesday evening commute. Lingering impacts into at least Thursday morning are likely.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This portion of the warning will be very near or within a sharp transition zone from heavy snow to ice and wintry mix. Even a slight wobble in storm track could lead to significantly higher or lower snow and ice amounts.
