On January 17th at 9:17 PM, APD officers were dispatched to a major crash involving a semi-tractor and an SUV at Amarillo Boulevard East and Folsom Road. A 2020 Toyota Rav-4 driven by Linda Lorraine Rudicill, 68-year-old female, had been traveling northbound on Folsom Road attempting to turn West on to Amarillo Boulevard. A white Peterbilt semi-tractor, driven by a 38-year-old male, had been traveling eastbound on Amarillo Boulevard. Rudicill failed to yield right of way from a stop sign causing the front of the semi to strike the driver side of the Toyota. Linda Rudicill died at the scene as result of the injuries sustained in the crash. The crash is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Unit of the Amarillo Police Department.
