IMPD Aggravated Assault Detectives Make Arrest in Sunday Evening Shooting Investigation
INDIANAPOLIS-Indianapolis Metropolitan Police (IMPD) Aggravated Assault detectives identified and arrested 21-year-old Tyrone Bostick for his alleged role in a Sunday evening shooting investigation.
On Sunday, January 15, 2023, just before 8:00 pm, IMPD East District officers responded to the 3000 block of N. Shadeland Avenue to investigate a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female inside of a vehicle who sustained injuries consistent with a gunshot wound(s). Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS) arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital.
IMPD Aggravated Assault detectives arrived to begin the investigation. Through investigative techniques detectives were able to develop Bostick as an alleged suspect. On Tuesday, January 17, 2023, with the assistance of IMPD Violent Crimes Unit (VCU) aggravated assault detectives were able to take Bostick into custody without further incident for his alleged role in this incident.
The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office (MCPO) will review the case and make the final charging decisions.
