Delivery of Cocaine Arrest 
On 01-18-23 the Janesville Police Department Street Crimes Unit (SCU) arrested David Steptoe on several drug charges that stemmed from a lengthy investigation. SCU, with assistance from the Rock County Special Investigations Unit (SIU), served search warrants at an apartment located at 1931 Dupont Dr. and a storage unit located at 3317 S. Oakhill Ave.
Seized from the search warrants was 18.71 ounces of cocaine, 10 ounces of marijuana, 54 fentanyl pills and 2 handguns.
David Steptoe was arrested on 2 counts Delivery of Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine, Possession with Intent to Deliver Fentanyl, Possession with Intent to Deliver THC, 2 counts of Maintaining a Drug Trafficking Place and 3 counts of Felony Bail Jumping. Steptoe was held at the Rock County Jail pending his initial court appearance. Prior to being taken to jail for these charges, Steptoe was out on $30,000 cash bond for 2 different cases. One was a Reckless Homicide for a fatal overdose and the other was a Felony Bail Jumping and other drug charges.
