Suspect Launches Marbles from Moving Vehicle Causing Thousands of Dollars in Damage to Businesses

SUMMARY: On Wednesday, January 18, 2023, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department's Morongo Basin Station responded to multiple locations along Highway 62 in Twentynine Palms, reference vandalisms.
An unknown subject in a dark-colored pickup truck was driving westbound on Highway 62. The occupants of the vehicle launched marbles from inside the vehicle while it was moving. The marbles struck the windows of three different businesses and caused significant damage. No employees or customers were injured. The unknown subject caused more than $2,500 worth of damage to the three businesses.
