Three Arrested for Stabbing in Vintage Oaks 
On January 14, 2023, at approximately 7:00PM, the Novato Police Department responded to the Novato Community Hospital regarding a 33-year-old man that had been stabbed. Evidence revealed, the victim was involved in a confrontation, at the Vintage Oaks Shopping Center, earlier in the evening. During the altercation, a 16-year-old juvenile stabbed the victim with a knife. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transferred to a hospital. The juvenile was located, arrested, and booked into Marin County Juvenile Hall for Attempted Murder that night.
Over the next several days, the Novato Investigations Section continued evaluating evidence and interviewing witnesses. On January 18, 2023, detectives identified 45-year-old, Jamie Hernandez of Novato, as the getaway driver. Detectives also identified 20-year-old, Frederick Hernandez of Novato, as a participant in the confrontation. Both Jamie and Frederick were arrested in San Rafael on Wednesday evening. Jamie was booked into Marin County Jail for Aiding a Felony and Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. Frederick was also booked into Marin County Jail for Attempted Murder.
