WATER BOIL ORDER LIFTED - UPDATE - Thursday, January 19, 2023

Precautionary Boil Water Advisory - LIFTED

EAST CHICAGO, IN - Effective immediately the PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER ADVISORY issued on January 17, 2023 to East Chicago residents and customers in the vicinity of Broad, Prospect and Spring Streets (Markstown), is hereby LIFTED as laboratory sampling/testing confirms that the water quality has not been affected and is safe to drink.  It is no longer necessary to boil the water, and customers and residents can resume normal water usage without taking additional measures.   If you experience cloudiness or discolored water, it is recommended that you run your faucets for a few minutes until the water runs clear.
