On Friday, 01-13-23, at approximately 11:05 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Geneva Avenue and Calgary Street on a report of a man down. The wallet contained $600 cash, a debit card, and a driver’s license. The victim said his head hurt from being punched and his leg hurt due to being poked by a knife. After the assault, the victim lost consciousness and did not know where the suspects fled. This investigation is continuing.

A resident stated that she woke up in the middle of the night after hearing a rumbling noise from the garage. When the resident opened an interior door to the garage, she saw that the garage door was open and a suspect was standing in the driveway. The suspect was described as a thin male, 5’4” tall, and wearing a black ski mask, black jacket with white sleeves, and dark-colored pants. Nextdoor.com
Nextdoor.com is a free private social networking website for your neighborhood. This private network ensures that only those who live in your neighborhood can join; users must go through a verification process. Neighbors ask each other for business recommendations; help in locating missing pets; discuss relevant local government issues; or connect for other reasons. It is very easy to sign up. I like the fact that the site verifies users by addresses, and it won’t allow people to access a neighborhood if they don’t live there. Please note: The City of Daly City and/or the Police Department cannot see what residents post—we are only allowed to post information. There is also a mobile application, or you can have it sent to your e-mail. Give it a try! www.nextdoor.com
