The National Weather Service has issued a high wind watch for the Eastern Aleutians on Saturday afternoon, January 21st, until Saturday evening. East winds 50 to 60 mph with gusts up to 80 mph are possible. High winds could move loose debris, damage property, and cause power outages. A high wind watchmeans there is potential for a hazardous high wind event. There is also the potential for severe or damaging weather conditions. Fasten loose objects or shelter objects in a secure location prior to the onset of winds.
