Attempted Homicide
On January 18, 2023 officers were dispatched to the 600 block of South Franklin for an attempted homicide. The 911 Center received a call from a male later identified as Cory L. Ary who told the call taker he just tried to kill his wife. Cory Ary was on scene when officers arrived, was cooperative, and was taken into custody without any force used. Cory is currently being held in custody.
The victim was transported to the hospital and treated for her injuries.
