Increased law enforcement presence in the area of Sea Island Pkwy and Folly Rd. on Saint Helena; motorists use caution 
At approximately 3:00 p.m. today, January 20, 2023, the Sheriff’s Office engaged in a vehicle pursuit on Saint Helena Island.
The suspect vehicle, a Jeep Cherokee, was involved in a collision on Folly Road and three people ran away from the wreckage.
Sheriff’s deputies are currently searching for the subjects who ran from the vehicle in the area of Sea Island Parkway and Folly Road.
Traffic in the area of Folly Road and Sea Island Parkway on Saint Helena Island is currently blocked. Expect an increased law enforcement presence in the area. Motorists should try to avoid the area if possible.
