OPD Seeks Help in identifying Individual in Attempted Rape
The Oakland Police Department (OPD) requests the community’s assistance in identifying an individual wanted in connection with an attempted rape.
On January 19, 2023, just before 9:30 AM, Oakland Police Officers responded to a report of the crime in the 4700 block of International Boulevard.
The victim told officers they were working at a business in the 4700 block of International Boulevard when an individual entered the store and approached the victim. The individual began grabbing the victim and pulled the victim’s pants down. The victim fought back and was able to exit the business to safety. The individual fled the scene, heading westbound on International Boulevard towards High Street.
The individual is described as a Black male 35-45 years old, 5’10” – 6’2” tall, with a medium build, medium-length black curly hair covering his ears, and a receding hairline.
He was wearing, a green military jacket, black pants, black shoes, with a green backpack.
