Police Seek the Public’s Help in Identifying Armed Robbery Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspect in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on Saturday, December 31, 2022.
Just after 8:20 p.m., a man was followed into a building in the 500 block of Sanford Avenue by a male suspect who pointed a gun at him and stole his wallet containing $1,000.00 in cash along with credit cards and other personal property.
Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s assistance in identifying this suspect. He is described as 6’2” tall with a slim build. He was wearing gray Nike sweatpants and hooded sweatshirt, black boots, and a black 4-strap cross body fanny pack. The suspect was last seen fleeing eastbound on Silver Street headed towards Smith Street.
