One Hurt in One Vehicle Crash 
Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that on 1/21/2023 at 1955 hours, his deputies responded to a single vehicle personal injury crash at M-62 and Harris St , Edwardsburg , Jefferson Township, County Of Cass. Jess Evan Cooper (48 yrs .Onia AR) was traveling North bound M-62 when he lost control of his vehicle and ran off the roadway to the east , striking a mailbox, shrubs and small trees. Jess Evan Cooper was transported to Corewell Health in Niles for his injuries. Cooper's passenger, Russell James Wilson (53 yrs,. Edwardsburg) obtained no injuries in the crash. Seat belts were used and alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash. This crash remain under investigation. Deputies were assisted by Edwardsburg Fire Dept. and SMCAS ambulance.
