The Monterey Park Police Department, in partnership with our local, county, state and federal partners are actively investigating a shooting on the 100 block of West Garvey.   While we continue to conduct our investigation, we will share information with the community when it becomes available.
The area of Garvey Avenue and Garfield Avenue will remain closed to all vehicle and pedestrian traffic. For everyone’s safety, please avoid the area and allow our investigators to conduct this investigation.  We will notify the community when the scene clears.
All Lunar New Year festivities in Monterey Park have been canceled today. 
A memorial honoring the victims has been established at the Monterey Park City Hall located at 320 W. Newmark Avenue for anyone wanting to mourn and express their grieve. The City of Monterey Park and the Monterey Park Police Department is grateful for the outpouring of support from the community during this difficult time.
