Alert

Winter Weather Storm Warning

Sequoyah County is still under a WINTER WEATHER WARNING starting at noon today and running until 6am tomorrow morning.
Not much in the forecast has changed. Rain starts 9-10am with a mix of rain and snow from noon to 3-4-5pm. Then after that we should switch to all snow. Modeling is suggesting that cold could have trouble infiltrating the river valley, and thus potentially hindering accumulation at first. You can see this on the modeling graphic. However, at some point this evening it will make a switch to all snow.
Elevation is going to make a large difference in how much accumulation you see. Folks in the southern part of the county wont see the same accumulation as the folks in the north. Same for folks on the east side compared those on the west. A few degrees in temperature will be all the difference.
Below is the Oklahoma Road Conditions map. DOT is out with their trucks and cameras in Western Oklahoma.
