INCIDENT: OFF-HIGHWAY VEHICLE ACCIDENT
LOCATION: Rancho Rd./ Vinton Rd., Adelanto
INJURED PARTY: Anna Raya, 30-years-old, Resident of Victorville
SUMMARY:
On Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 12:45pm, deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of an off-highway vehicle collision at the closed motorcycle track on Rancho Road in Adelanto.
Anna Raya was riding as a front passenger in a CanAm side by side. While on the track, the driver lost control of the vehicle causing it to roll. Raya was holding on to the outer part of the vehicle door when the vehicle rolled. Raya’s hand was smashed, severing several of her fingers.
Deputies quickly applied a tourniquet to slow the bleeding until medical personnel arrived. Raya was flown to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
