* WHAT...One to two feet of inundation above ground level expected in vulnerable areas near the waterfront and shoreline.

* WHERE...In New Jersey, Hudson, Eastern Essex and Eastern Union Counties. In New York, Richmond (Staten Island), Kings (Brooklyn), Southwest Suffolk and Southern Queens Counties.

* WHEN...From 9 PM Wednesday to 3 AM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding is expected in the more vulnerable locations near the waterfront and shoreline. Locally moderate flooding may be possible along the shorelines of Jamaica Bay and in southwest Suffolk. Some roads and low lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience minor flooding.

* AFFECTED AREAS: HUDSON ... EASTERN ESSEX ... EASTERN UNION ... RICHMOND (STATEN IS.) ... KINGS (BROOKLYN) ... SOUTHWEST SUFFOLK ... SOUTHERN QUEENS

If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
