INCIDENT: CVC 23152(b) DUI Driver with BA over 0.08%
LOCATION: The Rib Co. - 72183 Twentynine Palms Hwy, Twentynine Palms
SUSPECT(S): Jacob Kingston, 21-year-old resident of Twentynine Palms
SUMMARY: On Monday, January 23, 2021, at approximately 5:25 p.m., deputies from the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station responded to The Rib Co in the city of 29 Palms for a report of a single-vehicle collision. The caller stated a vehicle had crashed into the restaurant.
When deputies arrived, they contacted the driver, Jacob Kingston and his passenger. Both received medical attention at the scene for minor injuries.
Through investigation, deputies concluded Kingston was under the influence of alcohol. Kingston was arrested for CVC 23152(b)- driving while intoxicated, CVC 12500- unlicensed driver, and CVC 16028- no insurance. Upon arrest, he was transported and booked at Morongo Basin jail.
Damages to the restaurant were estimated to be approximately $60,000.
