At least the first installment of your 2022 property taxes is due January 31, 2023. Below are some helpful tips to ensure you make a timely payment:

• In-Person payments – The Village Hall is open Monday-Thursday (8:00 am-4:00 pm) and Friday (8:00 am-12:00 pm). You can hand deliver your payment until Tuesday, January 31.
• Village ‘Drop Box’ – You may leave your payment in the Village’s secure Drop Box in the Village Hall parking lot. It will be emptied at midnight on January 31.
• Payment sent by U.S. Postal Service (USPS) – Payments postmarked on or before January 31, 2023 are considered timely.
• Electronic Checks – If you arrange for your bank to send the Village an electronic check, please be aware that E-Checks often take 7-10 business days to be delivered.
• Payment sent by FedEx, UPS or similar carrier – The Dane County Treasurer’s office does not accept any service date stamps other than US Postal Service postmarked mail. Therefore, payments sent by FedEx, UPS, etc. must be in-hand at the Village Hall before closing on Tuesday, January 31 to be considered timely.
• On-line payments – The Village normally accepts property tax payments on-line via our third party payment processor (PSN). But, since on-line payments may take several days to clear the bank, the on-line payment portal will be turned off on Sunday, January 29 (convenience fees apply to all on-line transactions).
