Wilmington Police arrest man on gun and drug charges: 
Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun and drug charges.
On January 21 at approximately 11:22 a.m., members of the Street Crimes Unit were in the 700 block of North Washington Street when they observed 22-year-old Omar Rodriguez acting in a suspicious manner. Police made contact with Rodriguez, and following a brief investigation, recovered a loaded 9mm handgun and 59.3 grams of marijuana. Police took Rodriguez into custody without incident.
Rodriguez was charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Possession of Marijuana
