Press Release: FEMA Storm Recovery Update January 27, 2023
SAN BENITO COUNTY: On Friday, January 27, 2023, the Office of Emergency Services received verbal notification from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). FEMA has given San Benito County the verbal notification to be qualified for Public Assistance (PA). FEMA also gave verbal notification that the County of San Benito did not qualify for Individual Assistance (IA). Although FEMA has only verbally approved San Benito County for Public Assistance, other surrounding counties did not get approved for any assistance from FEMA.

In efforts to continue to support our community San Benito County will be coordinating a Resource Center within the next few weeks. The County along with local and state partners will be providing additional resources to all residents affected by the flood who visit the Resource Center. More details to follow when the Resource Center will open.
