INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collision
LOCATION: Wildwood Canyon Dr. / Canyon Dr., Yucaipa
BICYCLIST: Monique Parmalee, 43-years-old, Yucaipa Resident
MOTORCYCLIST: John Stocker, 46-years-old, Yucaipa Resident
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Yucaipa Station deputies were dispatched to a traffic collision near the intersection of Wildwood Canyon Rd and Canyon Dr., in Yucaipa. Multiple reporting parties relayed that the collision occurred between a motorcyclist and a bicyclist.
During the investigation, it was determined both parties were travelling east on Wildwood Canyon Rd. when the two collided at the intersection with Canyon Dr. The bicyclist, identified as Monique Parmalee, succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash. The motorcyclist was identified as John Stocker and was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center for major injuries sustained during the collision. The cause of the collision is currently under investigation.
