Death Investigation at Hinebaugh Creek near Commerce Boulevard 
On January 27, 2023, at approximately 8:10 a.m., the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety (RPDPS) responded to a call of a possible deceased person in Hinebaugh Creek near Commerce Boulevard. RPDPS personnel quickly arrived and located a male lying on his back in the creek underneath the Commerce Boulevard overpass. RPDPS and medical personnel at the scene determined the male was deceased. Upon further investigation, the decedent was identified as a 52-year-old male resident of Sonoma County.
This death investigation is ongoing. At this time, foul play is not suspected as a factor in this death. Anyone with information regarding this death investigation is asked to contact RPDPS Detective Kevin Escher at (707) 588-3542 and refer to Case #23-0338.
