On the indicated date and time, Officers responded to the CVS at 4440 Alamo Street in reference to a radio call of a shoplift in progress. Prior to the Officers arrival, the two female suspects had fled eastbound on Alamo St in a White sedan with approximately $800.00 worth of stolen merchandise. While checking the area, Officers observed two possible female suspects leaving the Rite-Aid at 5845 E. Los Angeles Avenue in a White sedan. A traffic stop was conducted on the 118 FWY eastbound Yosemite on ramp. The two females inside the White sedan were positively identified as the suspects from the CVS theft. The $800.00 worth of stolen merchandise was recovered from within the suspect's vehicle. During the subsequent investigation, $1,200.00 worth of stolen merchandise from Rite-Aid, was also recovered within the suspect's vehicle. Kayla Thomas (26 yrs old) and Imani Adedji (26 yrs old) both from Los Angeles were booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for Organized Retail Theft, Grand Theft and Conspiracy. One of the females also had an outstanding Larceny waarnt out of Culver City.
