On January 26th at 5:45 AM, Amarillo Police officers were called to the 4100 block of south Travis Street on gunshots heard in the area. Officers located a male laying in the street suffering from a gunshot wound. 24-year-old Markell Damarion Toombs-Reed was pronounced deceased at the scene. No arrests have been made but investigators have found that the suspect vehicle in this case will be a light-colored Chevrolet Impala. The vehicle could possibly have damage from the shooting.
