Witherspoon Street Phase 1 Construction Update for the Week of January 30th - February 3rd (Princeton Engineering Dept.) 
Week of January 30 - February 3, 2023*
- Update: Starting tomorrow January 31st, New Jersey American Water's (NJAW) contractor, J. Fletcher Creamer, will be on site to conduct utility work near Nassau Street. Witherspoon Street will be closed at Nassau Street to all motorists. Traffic Control will be present.
- Earle Asphalt Co. will continue with concrete sidewalk removal and paver installation on the eastern side of Witherspoon Street towards Spring Street.
Traffic and Parking
- Please be advised that Witherspoon Street is now a one-way street northbound. Witherspoon Street between Nassau Street and Spring Street will be closed during NJAW's utility work. Upon completion, Witherspoon Street will reopen to traffic traveling northbound. The left (west) side of the white paver line is a 10-foot designated service lane. The right (east) side of the white paver line lane is the 10-foot travel lane. Stopping, Standing or Loading is not permitted in the active travel lane.
