Executive Assistant To Chairman Jeff Turner Taken In Custody For A Crime She Stated The Chairman Committed

Executive Assistant To Chairman Jeff Turner
Taken In Custody For A Crime She Stated The Chairman Committed

The administrative assistant to Clayton County Chairman Jeff Turner, Katrina Holloway, turned herself into the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office today on warrants that were taken out on her for making a false report and making false statements.   The warrants center around two letters that were addressed to Chairman Turner and Katrina Holloway herself at the county commissioners office that made threatening remarks to Chairman Turner.

However, Katrina Holloway who was fired by Chairman Turner last Tuesday after finding out about the warrants issued for her, told Sheriff’s Office authorities that Chairman Turner is the author and sender of both letters and that he is trying to get her to take the fall for it.  Holloway said Turner wrote the letters in a manner to make it appear as if they were written by retired Sheriff Victor Hill, and told her he hoped the letters would cause the F. B.I. and the G.B.I would take the former Sheriff into custody before his trial.  Holloway said Turner’s plot backfired because he asked her for two stamps to mail the letters, not realizing the barcoded stamps were purchased with her debit card.  Holloway said she was not aware of what Turner was about to mail when he asked for the stamps.  Holloway told Sheriff’s Office authorities that when investigators traced the stamps back to her, Turner lied about his involvement and fired her to let her take the fall to avoid being charged.   Holloway said she is baffled that she is being charged with making a false report to police because she never contacted any law-enforcement about the letter.  Holloway said it was Jeff Turner who made the false report to the Clayton County Police and he asked Police Chief Kevin Roberts to contact the G.B.I. who took out the warrants for her.  Holloway also stated that one of the Clayton County Commissioners provided proof to the G.B.I. that Turner wrote the letters, but received no response.

Holloway also told Sheriff’s Office authorities that she witnessed Chairman Jeff Turner writing emails under the pseudonym of “John David” to send disparaging information about retired Sheriff Victor Hill and any commissioners he felt supported the former Sheriff.  Holloway also said Turner would instruct her to use her private email to send information to a woman she identified as Carol Yancey to tell Yancey what to say in public comments about retired Sheriff Hill and the  Commissioners he felt were in support of him.   Holloway also said Tuner would give her a list of documents he wanted Yancey to request on an open records request from the Sheriff’s Office. Holloway said she would send this to Yancey by her private email as well, at Turners request.  Holloway provided copies of the emails she was told to send to Carol Yancey by Chairman Turner to the Sheriff’s Office as proof of the Chairman’s involvement.

Holloway also provided information to the Sheriff’s Office about envelopes with cash in them being delivered to Chairman Turner’s office twice from a non-profit organization owner.  Holloway stated that an audit could reveal missing or misappropriated money by this non-profit organization.

Most disturbing was when Holloway told Sheriff’s Office authorities that Clayton County District Attorney Tosha Mosley had a third party reach out to her over the weekend telling her the best way to handle this is to say that she had a mental breakdown and take the rap for writing the letters.  Holloway said the third party who called her said the DA advised her to tell the courts that her mental breakdown came from being afraid for her life, the life of Chairman Turner, and the life of the DA, from the retired Sheriff as a way to get the charges against her handled.  Holloway said she refused the suggestion and stated that if investigators look at everything that she is willing to provide, it will clearly prove that Chairman Turner is the author and sender of both letters and will lead them to other illegal activities involving Turner.

Sheriff Levon Allen has decided to forward the information provided to the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office from Katrina Holloway to the G.B.I. and the F.B.I. so that they can investigate the information she provided.  Sheriff Allen also stated he was going to ask those investigating agencies to have the Georgia Prosecuting Council have another DA’s office handle this case due to the conflict with the Clayton DA’s office.
