On Saturday, January 28, 2023 at approximately 2245 hours, the Readington Township Police observed Jess Blechman traveling on Route 202 at a high rate of speed with his lights off. Blechman was stopped on Rt. 202 at Northlands and the officer smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the interior of the vehicle.   Blechman failed the officers field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. Blechman was issued a summons for DWI and Reckless Driving. The filing of charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
