Last night, during the overnight hours, thieves targeted several unlocked vehicles in the apartment complexes off of Northumberland Way. So far, five residents have reported that their vehicles were ransacked and valuables stolen. Police are working diligently to investigate these cases, but are asking for the public's assistance in reporting any additional incidents, as well as locking up their vehicles to prevent additional thefts.

Anyone who believes their vehicle was targeted but who has not filed a police report are requested to do so. Anyone with information on the thefts from motor vehicles is asked to contact Detective Benbow at (732)329-4000 ext. 7443.

South Brunswick Police Department would like to remind our residents to be diligent in locking up their vehicles, and to not leave valuables in their vehicles, especially not in plain sight.
