If your income is $70,000 or less, you can get your taxes prepared free by a United Way IRS certified volunteer at the Highland Park Community Center, 220 South 6th Avenue. Appointments are mandatory, please call 732-819-0052 to make an appointment.
Sweet Potato Pie and Such, 2/21
Story teller “Queen Nur” will be delivering tales from the African tradition at the Highland Park Community Center, 220 South 6th Ave. from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Register by calling 732-819-0052.
Blood Drive, 2/21
Save lives, donate blood at the Highland Park Community Center, 220 South 6th Ave. between the hours of 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. This event is sponsored by the New Jersey Blood Services. Signup online or call 1-800-933-2566.
ANCHOR Property Tax Relief Program, New Application Deadline 2/28/2023
The deadline for applications to the state’s ANCHOR property tax relief program has been extended to February 28, 2023. The program provides property tax relief to New Jersey residents who owned or rented their principal residence (main home) on October 1, 2019, and met the income limits.

Food Pantry Distribution, 2/9, 2/11, 2/23, & 2/25

H.P. Gives a Hoot, 2/7, 2/14, 2/21, & 2/28
Highland Park Gives a Hoot offers free groceries to Highland Park families in need of support. Distributions are every Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Zone 6 Teen Center, 600 Benner Street.
HP Gives a Hoot will be awarding 30 scholarships to students in Grades (K-6) for the Highland Park Summer Camp Program. The deadline to apply is March 1st, 2023. Applications can be downloaded on the Borough’s website and mailed/dropped off to Borough Hall, 221 South 5th Avenue, Highland Park, NJ 08904. Attention: HP Gives a Hoot.
Highland Park Recreation Programs
Highland Park Recreation offers a variety of adult and youth winter programs. Families that qualify for free and reduced lunch are eligible for a 60% discount on all programs offered by the Borough.
