Parent Presentation: Youth & Technology, Social Media, and Online Gaming -- Thursday, February 16th, 2023 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at Jewel Middle School, 1501 Waterford Rd., North Aurora.  Detective (ret.) Richard Wistocki, with over 20 years of experience investigating internet crimes, will explain how to avoid the dangers of social media and the importance of parental control.  More info / registration at:

Emergency Management Agency Prospective Volunteer Open House -- Tuesday, February 21st, 2023 from 6pm-9pm at the North Aurora Police Department, 200 S. Lincolnway, North Aurora.  Meet our volunteers and leadership team, see our equipment, and learn more about what we do to serve our community!  No previous training or experience is needed; just some time, dedication, and the desire to learn and be a part of a team. If you like the outdoors, have a sense of adventure, a desire to help others, and are interested in learning more about public safety, then this opportunity could be for you!  More info / registration available at:

Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training course -- begins Tuesday, March 7th, 2023 and meets each Tuesday evening from 6:30pm-9:30pm through April 25th, 2023 at the North Aurora Police Department, 200 S. Lincolnway, North Aurora.  This course is designed to teach citizens basic disaster response skills to help them better cope with the aftermath of a disaster. Through knowledge learned in the classroom and during exercises, students are able to help their family, others in their neighborhood or in their workplace when professional first responders are not immediately available.  This class will fill up, so register today!  More info / registration available at:
