Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspects in connection with a robbery that occurred on Wednesday, December 14, 2022.
 
At approximately 6 p.m., Police responded to the 900 block of 18th Avenue on a robbery call. A man was inside a business when he was approached by a male suspect who demanded $100.00 from the victim. The victim was then pushed outside the business, where a group of males began striking him until he fell to the ground. The group of males then dragged the victim along the ground while removing his belongings from his pockets, including his bank cards, identification, cell phone, and cash.
 
Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in identifying these suspects. Suspect 1 is described as a Black male wearing a black skull cap, a black Nike hooded sweatshirt with a green Nike symbol and strings, a black jacket, white sweatpants, and black and white sneakers. Suspect 2 is described as a Black individual, possibly female, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray and black North Face jacket, and a black mask. Suspect 3 is described as a Black male with a black beard, wearing a green skull cap, green hooded sweatshirt, green bubble jacket, green pants, and black boots.
 
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the identity of either of these suspects to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
