1. Attempted Robbery (0600) 100 Block of North Hunter Street, Civic District
The male victim, 39, was loading up items in his vehicle when the suspect approached him. The suspect brandished a knife at the victim and demanded his property. The victim fled the area on foot with the suspect chasing him. The victim was able to enter his vehicle and call for help. The suspect vandalized the victim’s vehicle. Responding officers arrived and took the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: Miguel Fernandez-Montejano, 35, for attempted robbery, brandishing, criminal threats, vandalism, weapons charges, parole violation, and outstanding warrants.
2. Resisting Arrest (0800) Grant Street and Anderson Street, Seaport District
Officers were in the area towing a vehicle when the suspect arrived and attempted to enter the vehicle. Officers instructed the suspect to back away from the vehicle several times, but the suspect refused to follow commands. Officers attempted to detain the suspect, but he resisted and had to be restrained. ARRESTED: Argenis Gastelum, 37, for resisting arrest.
