Deputies Arrest Two Corona Residents for Theft and Drug Charges

INCIDENT: Possession of Controlled Substances for Sales, Conspiracy, Shoplifting
LOCATION: 4625 Chino Hills Parkway, Chino Hills
SUSPECT(S): Efren Salgado, a 43-year-old Resident of Corona; Jacqueline Deoca, a 24-year-old Resident of Corona
VICTIM(S): State of California, Hobby Lobby, Lowes
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 10:11 AM, deputies from the Chino Hills Police/Sheriff's Station were dispatched to the Hobby Lobby at 4625 Chino Hills Parkway for a theft in progress. Deputies arrived and discovered two suspects stole numerous items from Hobby Lobby and then walked to Lowes.
Through investigation, deputies identified the suspects as Efren Salgado and Jacqueline Deoca, and learned of their whereabouts. Deputies set up a perimeter, and captured both suspects with numerous stolen items in their possession.
Deputies also discovered items consistent with sales of controlled substances. Deoca and Salgado, were arrested and transported to the West Valley Detention Center. They were booked for possession of controlled substances for sales, shoplifting, and conspiracy.
