THE CITY OF NEWARK IS ACTIVATING “CODE BLUE” FOR FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3, THROUGH SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 5.
Shelters are open for vulnerable populations at designated locations; Residents are reminded to bundle up when outside. Temperatures are expected to drop to a low of 6°F.
The City also reminds residents that emergency shelters operate during freezing weather and about its partnerships with Social Service agencies.
