Students Consume Marijuana Gummy Bears and Fall Ill; Investigation Launched to ID Student who Provided the Gummy Bears

INCIDENT: Student Consumption of Marijuana Gummy Bears
LOCATION: Vineyard Junior High School, Rancho Cucamonga, CA.

VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On February 2, 2023, a Vineyard Junior High School student brought gummy bears that contained marijuana to school and provided them to several students. Several students reported to school staff they felt ill after consuming the gummy bears. The Rancho Cucamonga Fire District responded to the school and provided medical treatment to the students. School staff have notified the student's parents. Detectives from the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff's Station responded to the school and are investigating the incident.
