Message from the Haledon Office of Emergency Management:
If you are aware of any unsheltered homeless individuals in need of a warming center, please contact the Haledon Police Department at 973.790.4444. In turn, the Haledon Police Department will alert the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at (973) 389-5951 and advise the dispatcher that there is an at-risk individual in need of shelter under the Passaic County Code Blue Alert Plan. The community also has an option to dial 2-1-1.
Please be advised that, due to the freezing temperatures anticipated until Monday morning, the Senior Center at the Haledon Municipal Complex will be designated as a Warming Center for the community. If any resident needs the service, please check in with the Haledon Police Department Front Desk for accommodation.
