Update: 
The suspect we were searching for last night was spotted in Athens early this morning in another stolen vehicle.  A Georgia State Patrol Trooper attempted to stop him, but he fled. The Trooper performed a PIT Maneuver on the vehicle, causing the vehicle to crash, but the suspect was not apprehended. 
MCSO continues to investigate this case along with the Georgia State Patrol and the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

We have called off the search but will continue heavy patrols throughout the night.  If you see anyone matching the description please call 911.  

update:
We're now in the area of Bethany Road and Planview Road with a sighting 

Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia State Patrol units are currently on Crawford Road looking for a suspect that ran from a deputy and is also a suspect in a vehicle theft.  We believe the suspect is on foot between Eatonton Road and Bethany Road. 
He is described as a black male wearing a grey hoodie and possibly some type of mask. Please be vigilant if you are in this area and make sure your vehicles are secured.  If you were to see this male please call 911 immediately.
